Data Sheet Update: PSD05HP – PSD12HP and SRV05-4LC TVS Arrays

ProTek Devices has recently updated data sheets for its PSD05HP – PSD12HP and SRV05-4LC transient voltage suppressor (TVS) Arrays. The PSDxxHP series are single line, 1000 Watt transient voltage suppression devices designed to protect sensitive electronics from switching transients across the AC line. Available in a SOD-323 package configuration, the PSDxxHP series provide ESD and EOS protection while saving space on the printed circuit board.

ProTek Devices' SOD-323 Package

The PSDxxHP series is ideally suited to protect data I/O ports against ESD, EOS and EFT. These devices exceed the requirements of IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD) and IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT). The PSDxxHP series, in conjunction with passive components integrated into a TVS/Filter network can be used for EMI/RFI protection.

Other key features include compatibility with IEC 61000-4-5 (Surge): 45A, 8/20μs; unidirectional configuration; low clamping voltage; and availability in 5V and 12V. The devices are RoHS and REACH compliant. Key applications include battery chargers/packs; smartphones and other portable electronics. Download the full data sheet here.

The SRV05-4LC is a high-powered, ultra low capacitance device for dual USB port and power bus protection. The SRV05-4LC is rated for 5.0V applications, with 500 Watts peak pulse power per line (8/20μs) and an ultra low capacitance of 0.7pF (CJ(SD)). The SRV05-4LC is ideally suited for surge suppression and ESD protection of high-speed data line applications.

ProTek Devices' SOT-23-6 Package

The SRV05-4LC combines eight ultra low capacitance steering diodes for up to four individual data or transmission lines and one TVS diode for the power bus. This device is offered in the space-saving SOT-23-6 package configuration. The small package size minimizes the lead inductance, preventing overshoot voltages during high ESD current events. ProTek recommends that the SRV05-4LC be mounted near the connector on the PCB. This device meets and exceeds the ESD requirements of IEC 61000-4-2 and the EFT requirements of IEC 61000-4-4.

Other key features include compatibility with IEC 61000-4-5 (Surge): 24A, 8/20μs – Level 2(Line- Gnd) & Level 3(Line-Line0); ESD protection > 25 kilovolts; low clamping voltage; and RoHS and REACH compliance. Ideal applications include Gigabit Ethernet; smartphones; portable electronics; video card interfaces; USB 2.0 interfaces and DVI interfaces. Download the full data sheet here.
