The data sheets for ProTek Devices’ PLR0522 steering diode / transient voltage suppressor (TVS) array has recently been updated.
The PLR0522 is an ultra-low capacitance (0.8pF typical [I/O to GND]) steering diode / TVS array. This device is designed to provide circuit protection in computing applications such as: DisplayPort™ interfaces, Ethernet 10/100/1000 base T, portable electronics, graphics cards, USB 2.0 interfaces, and HDMI interfaces. This is in addition to providing circuit protection in telecommunications equipment and systems. The PLR0522 is rated at 200 watts peak pulse power per line (8/20μs waveshape). This device meets IEC requirements for 61000-4-2 (ESD), 61000-4-4 for electrical fast transients (EFT), and 61000-4-5 (lightning). At higher operating frequencies or faster edge rates, insertion loss and signal integrity are a major concern. This devices helps remove such concerns. This device, in conjunction with passive components integrated into a TVS / filter network, can be used for electromagnetic / radio frequency interference (EMI / RFI) protection. It provides ESD protection of > 25 kilovolts to protect two lines. It also boasts a low clamping voltage and RoHS and REACH compliance.
The PLR0522 is provided in a space-saving molded DFN-6 package with an approximate weight of only seven milligrams. The package also features lead-free nickel palladium gold plating and a solder reflow temperature of 260-270 degrees Celsius. It has a flammability rating of UL 94V-0. The PLR0522 is provided in 8mm tape and reel, per EIA standard 481. Get the newly updated data sheet here.
