Many ProTek Devices Components Series Now DO160 Compliant
ProTek Devices also recently announced via the newsletter that many of its series of circuit protection components are now DO160 compliant. These series include: DLZ, SMBJ, SMP6LL, 15KPA, 5.0SMDJ, 60KS, PHP, PIP, SM10KW, SM15KPA, SM3KW, SM5KW, SMCJ, 30KPA, 70415K36 / T, 90KS, P15KPA, P30KPA, SM30KPA, 2700SM78CAN, 587B, and the GPZ1275. Mini Poster Highlights Power Circuit Protection Products

SR70 Ultra-Low Capacitance Steering Diode Array Data Sheet Updated
Finally, ProTek Devices’ SR70 has an updated data sheet. This is an ultra-low capacitance (3pF typical) steering diode array. It is designed for circuit protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD), electrical fast transients (EFT) and secondary lightning threats. It’s ideal for use in high-speed signal interface applications, such as USB ports, POE applications, video, mobile devices and laptops.

The SR70 is capable of protecting one line pair or two single lines via the steering of transient voltage to power lines or ground. It offers 225 milliwatts of continuous power dissipation. The SR70 is compatible with several IEC standards: 61000-4-2 (ESD): Air – 15kV, contact – 8kV; 61000-4-4 (EFT): 40A – 5/50ns; and 61000-4-5 (surge): 30A, 8/20 micro seconds – level 2 (line-gnd) and level 3 (line-line). Its ultra-low capacitance allows maintenance of signal integrity for high-speed data lines while protecting ICs from the damage of severe transients. An extremely low leakage current (< 1.0 microampere) makes the SR70 suitable for battery-powered devices and POE applications. The SR70 is also RoHS and REACH compliant.

The SR70 is available in the small molded JEDEC SOT-143 package, which reduces internal lead inductance for low, overshoot voltage during fast front time transient events like ESD. Other important mechanical characteristics include an approximate weight of only nine milligrams and lead-free pure-tin plating (annealed). It has a solder reflow temperature of (pure-tin – Sn, 100) 260 to 270 degrees Celsius and a flammability rating of UL 94V-0. Get the full updated data sheet here.
