ProTek Devices’ P6KE and 1.5KE TVS Component Series Have Updated Data Sheets

axialProTek Devices has provided an updated data sheet for two of our transient voltage suppressor (TVS) component series, the P6KE and 1.5KE.

P6KE Series
The P6KE series include discrete 600 watt (peak pulse power per line [tp = 10/1000μs]) silicon TVS components designed for use in applications where large voltage transients can permanently damage voltage-sensitive components and equipment. Such applications include DC and AC, remote transmission lines, industrial wiring, and more. The series consists of nearly 100 parts offered in various breakdown voltages ranging from a minimum of 6.12 volts to a maximum of 630.0 volts. The series is compatible with IEC 61000-4-5 (surge). It also has a UL file recognition #E333727. The components provide unidirectional and bidirectional configurations, low leakage and excellent clamping capabilities. The P6KE series also boast a very fast response time, easy mounting to printed circuit boards and RoHS compliance (exemption #7). The operating and storage temperature are -55 to 150 degrees Celsius.

The parts are glass-passivated chips and are provided in a molded case with an approximate weight of only 0.38 grams. Other key mechanical characteristics include lead-free pure-tin plating (annealed) and a solder reflow temperature of (pure-tin – Sn, 100) 260 – 270 degrees Celsius. 1.5KE Series
ProTek Devices’ 1.5KE series are discrete 1,500 watt (peak pulse power per line (tp = 10/1000μs]) silicon TVS devices designed for use in applications where large voltage transients can permanently damage voltage sensitive components and equipment. Like the P6KE series, this includes DC and AC, remote transmission lines, industrial wiring, and more. This series also consists of nearly 100 parts transient voltage suppressor components offered in various breakdown voltages ranging from a minimum 6.12 to a maximum 630.0 volts. It too is compatible with IEC 61000-4-5 (surge) and can claim UL file recognition #E333727. This series also offers unidirectional and bidirectional configurations, low leakage, and excellent clamping capabilities. In addition, it provides a very fast response time and easy mounting to printed circuit boards. The 1.5KE series of transient voltage suppressors are RoHS complaint (exemption #7). Their operating and storage temperature are -55 to 150 degrees Celsius.
