ProTek Devices’ LED die solutions include the PLED511 bidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) die. These TVS die are ideal for various LED lamp manufacturing needs. In addition to LED lighting manufacturers, other applications include digital display boards; automotive LEDs; backlight LEDs and solid-state lighting.
The PLED511 data sheet has been updated. This dies is provided with a thickness of 6 mils and a minimum breakdown voltage of 5.70 volts. Stand-off voltage is 4.7 volts and maximum leakage current is 1.00. It has a typical capacitance of 15. The back metal is Ti/Ni/Ag while the top metal is Al/Cu. Get the updated data sheet here.
SMDJ14A – SMDJ33CA
Also getting an update to the data sheet are ProTek Devices’ SMDJ14A – SMDJ33CA 3,000 watt (per line [tp = 10/1000 micro amps]) TVS components. They are ideal to provide circuit protection in power supply, AC/DC and telecommunications equipment applications.
The SMDJ14A – SMDJ33CA feature IEC compatibility with 61000-4-2 (ESD); 61000-4-4 (EFT); and 61000-4-5 (surge). A glass passivated chip, the SMDJ14A – SMDJ33CA offer low leakage current, unidirectional and bidirectional configurations. They also provide excellent clamping capability and very fast response times. Operating and storage temperatures are -55 to 150 degrees Celsius. The SMDJ14A – SMDJ33CA are RoHS and REACH compliant and have voltage ranges from 14.0 to 33.0.
The TVS components are provided in a molded JEDEC DO-214AB package with an approximate weight of just 0.248 grams. Other key mechanical characteristics include lead-free pure-tin plating (annealed) and a solder reflow temperature of (pure-tin – Sn, 100) 260-270 degrees Celsius. The terminal is solder-able per MIL-STD-750, method 2026. The parts have a flammability rating of UL 94V-0. The TVS components are offered in 16mm tape and reel, per EIA standard 481.
