ProTek Device has recently updated three data sheets covering an electrostatic discharge (ESD) component and a couple of transient voltage suppressor (TVS) arrays.
The P0603V24 is an ultra-low capacitance ESD component designed to protect very high-speed data interfaces. The device has a typical capacitance of only 0.05pF (I/O to GND) and is compatible with the ESD immunity requirements of IEC61000-4-2. These features and others make it ideal for circuit protection in a variety of high-speed data interface applications: HDMI, DVI, Display Port, Unified Display Interface (UDI), Mobile Display Digital Interface (MDDI), Gigabit Ethernet, USB2.0 and 3.0, IEEE 1394 and other interfaces.
Other key features include low leakage current of 0.10μA and RoHS and REACH compliance. The circuit protection component also boasts a fast response time and protects one bidirectional line. Key mechanical characteristics include a 0603 package and a total approximate weight of only 0.44 milligrams. It has lead-free plating and a solder reflow temperature (lead-free – Sn/Ag/Cu, 96/3.5/0.5) of 260-270 degrees Celsius. The P0603V24 has a flammability rating of UL 94V-0. ProTek Devices’ SM8S series is a family of high-power TVS arrays. The family consists of nearly 40 devices offered in reverse stand-off voltage ranges from 10.0 to 40.0 volts. The series is ideal for circuit protection in applications such as automotive digital auto tuners, automotive entertainment systems, and automotive navigation systems.
The key features that make this series so idea for various automotive circuit protection applications include 6,600 watts of peak pulse power per line (typical = 10/1000 microseconds). The SM8S series feature unidirectional configuration as well as excellent clamping capability. It has a very fast response time and the series is also RoHS and REACH compliant. The devices are provided in a molded plastic-over-glass passivated junction with an approximate weight of only 2.58 grams. Other key mechanical characteristics include lead-free tin plating and a solder reflow temperature of 260 degrees Celsius for 10 seconds at terminals. For polarity, the heatsink is anode. ProTek Devices’ GBLC03CIHP is an ultra-low capacitance TVS array designed for circuit protection in applications such as Ethernet 10/100/1000 Base T; USB 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0; cell phones and smartphones; handheld wireless systems; and other portable electronics. This device is available in a bidirectional configuration and is rated at 500 Watts for an 8/20 microsecond waveshape. The GBLC03CIHP meets IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD) and IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT) and IEC 61000-4-5 (surge) requirements. At higher operating frequencies or faster edge rates, insertion loss and signal integrity are a major concern. The GBLC03CIHP is ideal for addressing these concerns and is also ideal as a replacement for MLV (0805) usage. This series offers ultra-low capacitance (0.6pF, typical), low-leakage current, and a low clamping voltage. It protects one power or I/O port and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
The GBLC03CIHP is offered in a miniature molded JEDEC SOD-323 package with an approximate weight of just 5 milligrams. Other key mechanical characteristics include lead-free pure-tin plating (annealed) and a solder reflow temperature (pure-tin – Sn, 100) of 260-270 degrees Celsius.
