Several Data Sheet Updates for ProTek Devices’ EMI Filters / TVS Arrays

dfn16_picThere are several updated data sheets for ProTek Devices electromagnetic interference (EMI) filters / transient voltage suppressor (TVS) arrays. The parts, ideal for various circuit protection applications, include the EM8D-100L; EM8DLP-100L; EM8DSLP-100L; and EM1631-08DSLP.

EM8D-100L
The EM8D-100L is an eight line low pass filter array with integrated TVS diodes. It is designed to suppress unwanted EMI/RFI (radio frequency interference) signals and provide electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection for applications with high-speed data interfaces. Such applications include LCD displays; smartphones and camera imagers for smartphones; smart cards; and other portable electronics.

With a desired cutoff frequency of 150MHz, the EM8D-100L provides good EMI/RFI attenuation better than 35dB in the 800MHz – 3GHz bandwidth. This blocks RF noises from GSM, DCS or Bluetooth which can affect the baseband chipset and other blocks. Coupled with the integrated TVS diodes, this device is able to meet IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD) and 61000-4-4 (EFT) immunity requirements. ESD protection is > 25 kilovolts. The component is RoHS and REACH compliant.

The EM8D-100L is provided in a molded JEDEC DFN-16 package with an approximate weight of just seven milligrams. Other mechanical characteristics include lead-free pure-tin plating (annealed) and a solder reflow temperature of (pure-tin – Sn, 100) 260-270 degrees Celsius.
