PROTEK DEVICES
INTRODUCES GIGABIT DEVICE FOR WIRELESS HANDHELD SYSTEMS
August 1, 2008 -
ProTek Devices has introduced the
ESOT12LCC-1, a high frequency, transient voltage suppression
protector for handheld systems, wireless telecommunications, PDAs,
PCMCIA cards, and digital cameras. The ESOT12LCC-1 is packaged in
a SOT23-6 plastic case and is available in a 12 volt, bidirectional
configuration. This devices is rated for 250 Watts of peak pulse
power (8x20µs), which is sufficient for the protection of tertiary-type
lightning threats at key interface locations.
Due to extremely low capacitance, the
ESOT12LCC-1 is ideal for the protection of Ethernet-based I/O ports
against Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and Electrical Fast Transients (EFT).
This device meets the requirements of IEC 61000-4-2 and IEC 61000-4-4.
At higher operating frequencies or faster
edge rates, insertion loss and signal integrity are a major concern.
The ESOT12LCC-1 can also be used with passive components to design a
TVS/Filter combination network for I/O port protection and EMI/RFI
reduction.
The ESOT12LCC-1 is ROHS Compliant and
lead-free. Sample quantities are available upon request.
Pricing is $0.44 each in quantities of 3,000 each. SPICE models
and parameters are available for circuit simulation.
